most, repentance is more
a journey than a one-time event. It is not easy. To change is difficult. It

"Repentance is the sweet fruit that comes from faith in the Savior
and involves turning toward God and away from sin." - Elder David A.
Bednar, October 2007, Clean Hands and a Pure Heart, General Conference.
I mentioned
before that the atonement was the greatest blessing that we have been fortunate
enough to receive, and repentance is one of the fruits of the atonement. Because
of the atonement we are able to repent. Repentance gives us the ability to be
forgiven for the sins that we have committed. Without repentance we would not
be able to return back to live with our Heavenly Father. One of the quotes that
I quoted above says that “repentance involves and attitude of humility”. We
must humble ourselves before our Heavenly Father and admit that we have done
something wrong. I know that repentance is important, and without repentance we
could not progress.
